Welcome to Pitchford Produce, where we aim to sustainably grow vegetables of the best possible quality!
As the owner of Pitchford Produce, I (Graeme) have undertaken various courses of training and study in environmental farming practices, which has resulted in a determination to apply a combination of the best organic, biological, and conventional methods of farming in the way we do things here at the farm. This includes our use of Integrated Pest Management – reducing reliance on chemicals while encouraging beneficial insects to do some of the work for us.
Our sustainable mindset values our soil, our produce, our workers, and the nourishment of our customers.
As an employer, we take an intentional approach in caring for our employees, and endeavour to give them the best possible opportunities for personal growth. We help them to develop a strong work ethic, build interpersonal abilities through working in teams, and learn new practical skills as they use machinery and equipment as part of their roles on the farm. Part of this caring approach involves a continual engagement of trained personnel to provide real and ready pastoral care support for our employees.
We take significant joy in our craft, as we deeply believe in the value of high-quality fresh produce. We trust this comes through in your interactions with us and as you enjoy our great produce.

Over the years, many groups and individuals have visited the farm to learn about horticulture and the process of farming great fresh produce. Here is a glimpse of one such experience as recorded by Appetite for Excellence – a national hospitality awards program.
